Veranda & Emporium Banner

I decided to do both sides.  This side has Emporium and Veranda Creative Basics paper. I did not decorate the top on this side because the ribbon runs across most of the top of the banner. The stamp set is Urban Alphabet. The ribbon is Juniper. I like that this banner is two in one.  When I get sick of one side I can flip it over.  Thanks for stoping by.  Have a great day.  Brenda

Banner with Key To My Heart

I wanted to make a banner for myself.  I can not have Krista out do me right?  For this banner I used the My Creation Mini Banner chip board.  It is cut at 4 inches on my cricut with my Art Pilosophy cartrige. The paper is Key To My Heart.  This banner has a funny story.  As you maybe can tell I am a terrible speller.  My friend Tricia is my official spell checker. So she had come over to pick up her CTMH stuff and stayed to scrap and visit while I was working on this banner.  I finished the whole thing and I had one extra spot????? I mentioned this to Tricia and she said just to add an exclamation point at the end.  As you can see it no longer is there.  I realized latter that I had forgotten the R!  I had to redo all the letters.   The other things I used are Card Connection Rewards Rhinestone flowers ( no longer available) Tiny Tabs , the 1 1/4 circle, and some Juniper ( yes you were right Tricia it is Juniper) punch from CTMH.  I also used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch and bling that is not CTMH  I decided to go with the juniper ribbon because I also did the back( later post) and it matches that paper also.

I love how easy these borders are with the Art Philospy cart and my cricut.  Thanks for stopping  by. Brenda      P.S. I alsmost for got the Stamp set for the letters is Urban Alphabet.

Miracle card

So does anyone else bring scrapbooking stuff camping?  My family thinks I am nuts but I can not think of anything I would rather do on my down time. This is a picture of the very smal space I work in while camping.  It can be quite a challange to find everything and to know what to bring!

This is one of the things I did last week on vacation.  the paper is Miracle. The stamp set is You Are (April SOTM) and I also used some color ready craft borders.  Scrap Happy! Brenda

Heart 2 heart layout # 18 with Serendipity

This layout is done using the Heart 2 Heart sketch http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/h2h-scrapbooking.htm/ .  I love this one.  It is easy to add your photos because they all go right down the middle.  The paper I used is Serendipity which is an older CTMH paper.  I received the paper pack in a mystery box and was "saving " it  for something special.  I need to stop doing that.  I end up with a bunch of great paper packs in my paper stack and no pages.  I used my Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the snowflakes and I used Stickles to add glitter. As a side note Rob almost killed my Cricut today at dinner!  I scrapbook at the kitchen table because I have no other room and my Cricut was sitting at the back of it.  Rob bumped it off on to the floor!  Luckily the only thing that was wrong is that the blade was broken. I think he is a little jealous of my machine because I spend so much time with it. LOL  Thanks for stopping by.  Scrap Happy to you all.
P.S. I almost forgot!  Special thanks to my sister-in-law for some of the pictures.  Amanda took some of these pictures and I loved them so I borrowed them for my layout.

Krista's Banner

Okay here it is as promised!  After Krista and I made the banner for Carlee Krista decided she really liked it and should make one for herself.  She chose all the colors based on what colors she wants to paint her new room if her brother ever moves out. ( she will get his and I will get hers for a scrap room, unless her other brother moves out first.) She inked all the edges on the base and top border.  She also backed it all, including the letters with posterboard to make it stronger. She did not want pattern paper but I talked her into the Holligans paper for the dress and Emporium behind the butterfly.  I made the flowers for her but she inked the edges. I also made the dress and the Rosettes. (circle fan thing) The only thing we did not have was the ribbon. I took her to the local fabric shop and she picked out these in about thirty seconds.  They match perfectly! I only spent a dollar fifty total.  Great job Krista.  Now I am jealous!
Here are some pictures of it up close and where she put it in her room. Looks really cool Krista!

Chicago Trip

I can not sleep so I will share some of the things I did on my vacation, besides crafting.  Our girlscout group took a train to Chicago!  We have been selling cookies for a couple of years and had yet to take a big trip so we did it really BIG.  We took a train.  That is seven moms and nine girls ages 12 to 14.  We did a ton of walking, which would not be a big deal , except that it as almost 100 degrees!  We still had a blast!  We went on a segway tour to learn about some of Chicago's great landmarks.  We also went on a Architectural boat tour and took a water taxi to ChinaTown. We hit Navey Pier, The Bean , and had some deep dish pizza all in two days!!
That was a lot of stuff packed into a  short time but what a lot of fun.  I myself have not had the opportunity to see a lot of this stuff so it was a first for me also.  Plus I got to spend some quality one on one time with my daughter. To change the subject , I did do a lot of crafting and I still have krista,s really awesome banner to show you so there is some good stuff coming!  :-)  Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy! Brenda
P.S. I edited these pictures on picmonkey.  That website is so fun!

Stair step card using Lucky

I saw this card on another blog http://cutterscreekdesignteam.blogspot.com  by Deanna M.and loved it.  It is called a stair step design. The best part is that it fits in a regular card envelope when it is all done.  You start with a piece of paper that is 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches.  You line the edge of your paper at the one inch line on your cutter. Then you cut a strip STARTING one inch from the bottom and cut it to the 5 1/4 inches mark.  Flip your paper over and cut another one on the other side.  Then SCORE your paper at 1 inch 2 inches and 5 1/4 inches from the cut to the outside edge of the paper.  Next SCORE your paper at 4 1/4 inches across the middle between the cuts.  Fold.  First a mountain fold, them a valley fold, and last  a mountain fold.  .

Here is a side view.  The paper I used is lucky. The stamps are Star Power, A Little Of Everything, and the Type set workshop on the go.  I also used corrugated stars.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are staying cool.  I have been enjoying my vacation ( today is my last day :-( ) and doing a little crafting.  Brenda

Birthday card

Sorry about the shadows on this photo. I made a quick card for a friend at work for her birthday.  Since it was going to be hand delivered I was able to put some cool flowers on it.  I used the stamp Backgrounds and Borders for the end flap.  I also used the stamp set Find Your Style, and the stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy Cartridge. Again the bling was from Hobby Lobby.  That was a good investment and the ribbon is leftover from the banner Krista made for herself.  That post is still coming and the banner is so Sweet!  I can not wait to share that with you. i wish I would have used a darker color for the happy birthday but maybe next time. Keep checking back because I have some good stuff coming!  Thanks for stoping by.  Scrap Happy!

Zoo layout

I have a hard time scrapbooking zoo pages but this is what I came up with for these photos.  Some of the pictures are of other people so I had to cover them up.  That is what the white spots are.  The paper is by We're Memory Keepers, Boho Chic Hobo Hip and Boho Chic Fancy Free.  I random stamped the background with a CTMH stamp.  Thhe stamps I used are You're Great and Adventure.
Here is the paper before the layout.

The paper is Lucky.  I keep using this fishing stamp over and over, Hook Line and Sinker.  It is an old one but it works so well for fishing photos.  I also used a stamp from Clear Stamps I got at Hobby Lobby.  Lastly I used some Kraft color ready Borders from CTMH.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Heart Banner

I am really excited to show you this banner!  Krista and I made it together for 4 year old Carlee who is in the hospital having her 4th heart surgery.  The patterned paper is Sweet Heart and purple card stock.  Krista picked out the colors which I really like together. I brought home some cardboard from work( Similar to poster board) ans all our layers including the letters are backed with this to make things stronger.  We put foam behind the top border, and all the letters.  Some of the embelishments are Close To My Heart and some are things we had around.  The pick brads were a gift from my friend Tricia.  I love how this turned out!
I would love to hear from you and see what you think of our banner.  Stay Scrap Happy!  Brenda
