Dakota layout

I am really excited about the paper pack called Dakota.  It has a really fun country vibe.  For this layout I used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut all the pieces that are stamped on.  I used another cartridge called Old West for the title.  Everything on this cartridge will go really well with this paper! I also used the stamp from the work-shop- on-the-go Dakota, Black Hemp, and Durables Round.
I knew right away when I took these pictures that I wanted to use this paper with them.  It was so cute, krista and her friend waited in line forever to get a picture with frankie.  See here grin from ear to ear! Frankie was so nice to them also.  I think he has a couple of new fans!

The actual color is closer to Sweetleaf but I could not get the photo right. The bakers twine is Maya Road. The embelishments I picked up at a store in Ludington while we were camping. Veranda card

This card is made with Veranda Creative basics paper. I also used Vineyard Berry gross grain ribbon, Just Blooms Flutter, and Colonial White Mini Medley. The stamp set is Card Chatter Deepest Sympathy. I got the idea for the card from another blog. http://spreadinglovewithinkandpaper.blogspot.com Her first name is Brenda but I am not sure about her last name.

Making this kind of card is really easy.  All you have to do is cut the front half of the card on an angle and then flip this piece over.  If you are using double sided paper keep this in mind when you cut it because you will have to use the back side of the cut piece. The best part is that the card fits in a regular envelope. I really like this card style.  Stay Scrap Happy!

It is hard to see but this is the two pieces together.

Random stamp cards with Cruisin

Well It has been a very ruff week!  Not much time to get stuff done.  I random stamped the background paper for these cards.  The stamp sets I used are: Cruisin workshop, Thoughtful tidings, Card Chatter Sympathy and a set that goes with the art philosophy cart.
I used Cruisin paper and some bakers twine from Maya Road. I am hoping to recover from the long week at work and get some more craft time in.  I will post how to get in on the drawing for Becky's party and the new special coming up real soon also.  Right now I am just whipped!

Miracle layout

I am really excited!  I have been trying to get my CTMH website on my blog for a long time and I found a web site today with all kinds of tutorials!  SUCCESS!  What do you think of my new blog layout? If you scroll down you will find the Shop With Me button on the right.  This layout was also done while we were camping.  The paper is Miracle,  The stamps I used were: Vintage Type, and Pure Adventure. I also used the Color Ready Kraft Borders.
I have a couple of tricks for you today.  I am kind of cheep so I like to save my paper. (Like I do not have enough) so for this mat I cut out the middle where the picture is to save it.
I used this scrap and the one from the other mat for some cards!

One more hint.  When I cut out shapes on my Cricut it I have more room left on the paper I cut out some to match a stamp set and I store them in the package with the stamp. Then when I need a shape to match the stamp it is already in the package.  I could not bring my Cricut but I already had these cut and waiting.  Please let me know what you think of my blog????? Thanks for stopping by.  Scrap Happy!

Fry gift box

Have you been following Gloria's blog hop making 3-d items from the new  Cricut Artiste Cartridge? http://www.scraptabulousstudio.com/ I have.  What a neat cartridge that you can do a ton with.  I can not wait to get mine!!.  So I decided to make a 3-d item from my old cartridge since I do not have the new one yet.  I made this from the scraps of Krista's border.  I have yet to get a big Cricut :-( also so I am limited on how big I can make things.  I thought this french fry box turned out cute  and I plan to give it to a friend with these little gifts inside.

I also tried to make a door hanger but it is really small on my small machine.  I made it into a little note holder and put it on Krista's bulletin board. If you would like to get either of these Cricut cartridge stop by my web site at http://brendamckerchie.myctmh.com/  Thanks fro stopping by.  Scrap Happy Brenda
