School Layout with Baby Cakes

This is the layout we did at my birthday crop last year! I kind of forgot about this one. The paper is Baby Cakes. The stamps are : Capture the Date, Cherish the Day, School Years, and School Is Here. I used CTMH Slate washi tape. The journaling tag was cut out with my Cricut Artiste. I also used Sassy strands and Cocoa ribbon from CTMH. The brads are from my stash and I cut the file folder with a Sizzix die. This was a really fun layout with lots of elements. Speaking of my birthday crop, I am looking at either May 16 & 17 or May 23& 24. I am not sure which weekend will work best yet! Thanks for stopping by! Brenda

Scrap Happy with Cloud Nine Scraps!

So once I finished putting together my Cloud Nine card kit I used my leftover scraps to make a layout and an 8 x 8 layout for Matt's book. The bottom picture shows the few scraps I had left when I was all done. I still have a ton of gold washi tape and the sparkle ribbon left yet.  I got the word adventure from the Hook, Line, and Sinker stamp set. This one has been around awhile. The other set I used is from the Pro Player workshop. It always makes me happy when I use up my scraps and use older stuff! This color combination is starting to grow on me. Thanks for stopping by! Cloud nine with Cherry-o paper

So you have all seen the Cloud Nine card kit from Close To My Heart right? Well this is my remade version using Cherry-O paper.I redid the entire set of cards using a totally different color scheme. I used the stamp set Boutique Boarders instead of the washi tape and added some stickles. What fun. The possibility's are endless and this set has stamps for some commonly needed cards like thank you and happy birthday. So what do you think? Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!

Challenge Times Three

My first card for today I followed the Mojo Monday sketch.http://mojomonday.blogspot.com I used the paper pack Note Book from Close To My Heart. I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Monday challenge, time.http://simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge The stamps I used are The Present, and Life Time. It always gets the juices flowing to work on sketch challenges.

For my second card I used the Freshly Made sketch. http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com I used the same paper pack as the card above. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash and the stamps I used are: True Friends,Life Is Good,A Little Thanks, and framework Alphabet. This sketch was a little more challenging than I thought it would be. I had a hard time deciding how to put my paper tilted. It was a fun one to make and made me think a little.

When my son was a "sweet" teenager layout

It has been a rough day today. It is so hard when your kids grow up because you never stop worrying about them but you have so little involvement sometimes in their life. My son is busy living his life and we do not always hear from him as often as we like. Today I got a couple of phone calls that have me worrying! Grrr So here is a flash back to when he was a much less stress full teenager. Ha, isn't that funny! And I thought I was pulling out my hair then. This layout was made a little while ago for his 8 x 8 book and I am not sure what products I used. Boy how time flies.

Sweet Heart step card

I made this card for a mom of my daughters friend who has breast cancer. Such a bummer. I was also a freshman in high school when my mom first got cancer so I really feel for her daughter also. I have working on using up my sweet Heart paper and it worked great for this card. The stamp is Card Chatter-Sympathy and I used CTMH ribbon Cotton Candy.I used some Miracle Irresitables and Hobby Lobby bling. The ribbon was cut using a Sizzix die.
