Quick Little Snow Man Card.

I got my Sizzix dies I ordered from Scrapbooking Made Simple's warehouse sale( AKA Crazy Lady) finally in the mail so I made this quick little card. Both the die and embossing folder are from Sizzix. The paper is American Crafts that I got on sale after Christmas one year. I threw in a little stickles and stamped a CTMH Holiday Wishes sentiment and it was done. Thanks for stopping by!

Boys Name Banners!

So you know how much I love banners and I finally got to make a couple for my nephews. I have been working on the idea for awhile in my head and made some time to make them even though I am working a ton. I just worked on it a little every night to get my craft fix. That is the bonus of having my craft room.
So here is part of the process. I was working on inking the edges and watching videos at the same time. I think this project was what got me thru the month of January. I could easily stop and pick up where I left off the next day. The paper is from Close To My Heart called Urban. I cut the banner out on my Cricut with my Art Philosophy cartridge. I used Expoxy Bubbles and Durables from CTMH.  I was trying to make it for a boy and add some cool male embellishments. I cut the letters with my Sizzix dies and the rosettes and snowflakes were with a Tim Holtz die. I always cut a couple pieces extra in case of an oops so I made a door sign with them.

Do not forget that Kathy's party is still going on and check out the clearance section while you are shopping. There is still some good stuff on there.http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com

What NOT To Do When Die Cutting!!!The problem came when I went to die cut them.

Kathy is having a crop soon and I thought it would be fun to give everyone who orders a set of these images. I bought this cute stamp and die set from W plus 9 and I just love the baby Jesus and other images. So I stamped a bunch of the images out on an 8 x11 paper and started coloring away. The problem came when I went to die cut them!
Do you see the problem? I was not careful to put the stamp on my block correctly. The stem of the tree should have had a bend in it and now it was cutting off  part of my trunk. And since I had stamped a bunch all together they ALL are like that. So everyone who receives this little party favor can either fusycut out the small tree or not use it.
I have seven little boxes with a set of these images in them for the first seven people who order from Kathy's party. I left the fussy cutting for the receiver. Thanks for stopping by and scrap happy. As for me? I am still sick.  I missed two days of work so far. It has been along time since I have been sick enough to call in two days in a row. I guess the flu shot was a fail for me this year.

Valentines Shaker Card

So I am a day late on posting my Valentines cards this year but I was really excited about how they turned out so I wanted to share. I got the idea from a Youtube video by nursetara. I remembered that a long, long time ago we got some pockets from Son-Life camp when we went to a crop. the problem is that they were open on top. Nursetara used scotch tape to seal the top by sticking a thin line on one side and folding the tape over onto it's self to make a seal. then you stick a thin line on to the other side and trim off the extra. the part of tape that is stuck back to back makes a seal. I ordered some of the sequins after watching her video from CCartwright. Others were in my stash and I punched out some from fancy paper with a heart punch. The back of the pocket was sticky so I added tone paper from my stash. The stamp I used was Mad About You from CTMH. The heart and sentiment cards are from CTMH. All other embellishments were from  y stash. Below is a picture of the pockets.
Well I am sick today. I have been working a ton in January and finally have some weekends off and I am sick. Sigh.I did get some fun new stuff with the extra money I made from all the hours, I am itching to play with it. We have a crop for Kathy's party coming up and I can not wait. Also her party for CTMH is open. Check out the clearance stuff that is new!http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com Also there is a limited time stamp and the sale of it helps with Operation Smile. thanks for stopping by. Brenda

Into The Lion's Mouth!

I used some Christmas paper called Believe for this card. I got the stamp while I was shopping with my friend Kathy at an outlet store. I knew right away what sentiment I wanted to use with it. The sentiment is from CTMH and was in the Clementine workshop. I used some Liquid Glass on the teeth. How fun is this card! I had some questions about alcohol markers bleeding through to the back of your paper. They are supposed to do that. I posted a picture bellow of the back of my finished stamp. Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!
