Great Girls Gift!

I have been buying the CTMH necklaces but I can not seem to keep them around. I buy a couple thinking I will make one for myself and then Krista has a birthday party to go to, or she needs a gift for her swim sister and poof they are gone. They make GREAT gifts for team girls. we bought one sticker sheet and are still using it. I love the way she can customize the necklace for each girl. She can make it personal based on who they are. One friend was a swimmer so we used Just Keep Swimming and another friend was going to a aviation school so we used one about flying. what a neat and affordable gift. The nice thing is if you have these on hand you can make them in a jiffy and you know how things go with kids. "Mom I need a gift right now because I for got to tell you last week!" I hope you all are enjoying your summer and your retirement( Kathy). Thanks for stopping by.

Embossed And Watercolor Cards

I was really happy with how these cards turned out. I embossed some water color paper with a Sizzix embossing folder and used some Tim Holtz distress stains to color it. i have not used these stains much so it was an experiment. The colors i used are: Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage, and Victorian Velvet. What fun names! I used CTMH stamps. They are: Limited Edition, Cricut Artiste-Kudos, and Cherish The Moment. The yarn was from my stash.I think I will have to try something more with these because I had so much fun. Thanks for stopping by. Brenda

Stingy paper crafting

I used some old paper called Emporium and I also used a new paper called Paper Fundamentals Basic assortment. This is a card stock pack with a shinny design on one side and flat on the other. I was being stingy with this paper so I cut the center out to use on another project.
I also used some Bohemian assortment, and Designer Ribbon-pink Collection from CTMH. I have been watching some youtube process videos and this layout was inspired by Mercy Tiara. the metal letters are something I have had in my stash for a very long time. The ribbon is Vineyard Berry.

How To Save Paper On A Layout.

This is the layout we made for one of the crops I did with my girls. Most of it is done with stamping and adding just a little heartstrings paper. The colors I used for this layout are: Lagoon, Crystal Blue, holly lock, Blush, and Slate.  The stamps we used are:  Life is wonderful, and Brush Strokes Flair. I just love that last stamp! There is so much you can do with it. I Think I did grab another stamp to do the smile with but I do not remember what it was. I love how you can use any color of in to make it match your paper. Thanks for stopping by and SCRAP HAPPY.

Congrats Kathy!

I just wanted to wish my scrap friend Kathy a happy retirement! Today was her last day of work and we will miss her a bunch. I am so happy for you! Enjoy all your free time, you deserve it!

Hello Neighbor!

I just love these old people stamps. I made this get well card for someone at work who always calls us his neighbor. The stamp is from Art Impressions. I did not realize when I bought the stamp that it did not come with the fence so I had to improvise. I used my Universal Background stamp from CTMH to stamp the wood and then I cut out the fence post by hand. I inked the edges next. I used a scissors to cut the grass. The red paper is from CTMH called Believe. The hello is from the stamp set A Bow Wow. I used Atomic lower case to stamp the neighbor and Sincere Expressions for get well. Both are CTMH.  Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!

Got Hats? Layout

I am so proud of this amazing girl. Not only is she smart and funny, she is also kind. Today we are sending her off on an amazing trip of a lifetime. She has been saving  and fundraising for many months. She has also been researching all the things she will need and started collecting them at Christmas. Krista  knew all the plane requirements and special packing items before the teacher, who is sponsoring the trip, did. The last month she  packed and repacked everything , and organized it to get it to fit into her bags.Even the choices she made! To drop Orchestra and keep Spanish, because even though Orchestra is more fun, she will use Spanish more as an adult.  She is well prepared but I am still a little nervous.
For this layout I used an older CTMH paper pack( level 1) called Free Spirit. All the stickers were included and I just added some twin from my stash.
