Haloween Fright

I know I have been MIA again. There are just not enough hours in the day. I work every day including Saturday and Sunday(just not always 8 hours on these days) and it is hard to find time to do the things I love. You would think that with Krista away at school it would be easier but that is not the case. Now I have a big boy who is working lots of hours and he does not have much time to chip in. That being said, I am not giving up on my crafting! I just am not going to always be as active.
I made this fun layout using the Close To My Heart Cricut cartridge Art Booking. I just love the haunted house and the fun title! I really need to get this out more often. Just a heads up, if you are like me and do not have your Cricut linked to your computer, you might want to grab any of the cartridges you want but don,t have. Provo craft is going all digital and soon you will not be able to get the actual cartridge soon. It is on a while supplies last basis right now .http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com  There is a new travel one that I need to get my hands on before it is to late.
I also thought I would give you a little update on my chickens. They are all laying on a regular basis right now. We just got the yard fenced in so they have been getting a little time out in the yard. All but Salvadora, who I would never be able to catch to get back in the coop. Someday, Rob is going to put a door at the bottom of the coop so then I will be able to just shoo them back in. Right now I have to catch them and physically lift them back into the coop. Django ( my granddog) is getting a new brother or sister! all the more reason to scrapbook.
So here is to a New Years resolution early! Finding more time for doing what I love!

Chicken Update

My chickens are getting big and noisy! As soon as I let the dogs out in the morning Rocky starts root rooing at me. Irene comes right over to the door when I open it and they all love treats! No eggs yet. I am hoping in September. Our new neighbor's hove moved in and are putting up a fence for their dog! Win for me. They grew up on a farm and their parents have chicken so they are used to the noise. Win for me!! She even knew the kinds of chickens I have. So far so good. I hope you all are enjoying your summer and here is a video of the chickens at about 14 weeks.

Biggest Fan!

I used an Art Impressions stamp for this card. They always crack me up! The paper is from CTMH. I used one of my 6x6 sample papers so I am not sure of the name. The hand is on a wobble so that it will move. I gave this card to Krista this year before a polo game.

Who Wants To Clean Anyway?

So I am supposed to be getting the camper ready and cleaning the house to go on vacation BUT.....
Who wants to work when everyone else is playing? I have been a little distracted. The fam is going to be unhappy when they get home from fishing and their beach adventure to discover they are going to have work to do!! I have been working everyday and before that we were doing Graduation stuff so I have not gotten to do much crafting. I have been able to buy craft stuff! Ha Shopping online is a great creative outlet when you do not have time to make something! Oh my!
I used a very old paper pack from Close To My Heart and it was a Level one so it had stickease with it. I am thinking I must have finally used it up because I can not find the paper. I used the stamp that coordinates with the paper. I am planning on giving a chicken update soon and post some graduation pictures. Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!

Party Prize update and Mothers Day Card

Hello Everyone. I made this mothers day card using the stamp of the month set called Tea-rrific. I used the CTMH die Happy for the front. I also used a die cut Prisma for the table cloth  in the center of the card for the cup to sit on. To make my Tea cup stand up on the inside I used a die from Elizabeth Crafts called Fence Pop Stand. The paper is from CTMH but I an not sure which one. I order the 6 x 6 sample sets to show my girls the new paper and I used some paper from one of those. The size is perfect when you want to make a quick card and then you do not have to get out an entire paper pack. Every person who orders from my Birthday bash party will get an entire 6xx6 package of the new papers this time. I was not able to make any cute party favors for those who ordered so this is ONE of the things they will get! I am so excited to share the new papers with all of you.

Here is a picture of one. I am also having a drawing from my blog but since I have not been able to do a lot of blog post due to working so much it will be short. This one is going to be kind of a secret. If you do not follow my blog then you may not find out about it. To get a ticket in the drawing you need to answer the question in the comments below. What is the name of my favorite chicken? Hint she is a Blue Cochin. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel you will also get a ticket for the drawing. the prize is the stamp set below. Good luck and I can not wait to see you Saturday!

Birthday Layout

For this layout I used some newer paper from Close To My Heart called Some kind Of Wonderful. Then I used some really old Close To My Heart stuff. I used Heartfelt Whimsy which is some felt shapes and frames. These pictures are older and I was stuck on how to scrap them. I am glad to finally have them done. Thanks for stapping by and Scrap Happy!

Chick update!

Well I got my chickens out of my scrapbook room so now I can start working on crop projects, finally! I think we might have an pops. I am a little worried my Silver Laced Wayndote might be a rooster. A Rockie and not a Roxanne! She sure has a pink comb and waddle. I can not wait for our scrap party!

Thanks you goes to my assistant, Krista. Tia's have been delivered to her house.(Also thanks to my assistant Krista) and sadly we lost one bay chick.

She is a Blue Cochin, but she will not actually be black. I can not wait to see how her colors turn out!

Snow Coming Random Stamping

This layout is from Krista's Freshman year of high school. I used random stamping to make the background paper . The stamps I used are: Give A Gift, and Balloon Ride. I used my Art Booking cartridge to cut out the die cuts before I stamped the images. The lace was a scrap from my stash. I love how the lace adds an elegant touch to the layout. The gems I got at Michael's on clearance. Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!

Refinished Country Desk!

I bought this desk and repainted it last summer while I was off of work. I just sat in a chair in the garage to work on it so I did not stress my knee. I used some Chalk paint just like I did on the dresser for my scrap book room and the distressed it with glaze. The details in the wood look really nice with the glaze. I really love how it turned out. The pictures do not do it justice but they were taken down stairs. After I finished it , it sat down stairs for a good six months before it finally got brought upstairs and put to use.
This is what it looked like before I painted it.
I sprayed the desk with a primer first and then painted it with the chalk paint.
And here it is finished with some close up pictures of the details. Okay below is just a few more pictures of the desk in progress. Thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!

Operation Use Up Paper Challenge!

This was a fun challenge to myself. I got this Sizzix paper pack way back when I first started scrap booking at a Son-Life Crop and decided it was time to use it up. Some of the cards I just decorated the base and I am  planning on adding sentiments later.  Most of the paper was used and that was my goal. I really liked the paper, so I did not want to just trash it, and cards seemed like a good option. I used a bunch of Sizzix dies and some Close To My Heart stamps to decorate. The best part is that everything I used was older stuff. Thanks for stopping by and scrap happy!

Egg Fight!

Well I was so happy to be able to hang out with some of my scrapbook friends at Kathy's crop!!!!! I work so much so that is a rare treat!!!! This is not one of the layouts I did at the crop but with Easter coming up I thought it was a good fit. The paper is all older from my stash. I used some Sizzix dies for the title and words. The middle section was made using a Martha Stewart punch. Thanks for stopping by and scrap happy!

Heart Card From Scraps.

This entire card was made around the negative space left over from a heart die cut. I had some felt hearts I picked up somewhere on clearance and quickly stamped a sentiment on it. Super easy and fast!

Love You Guys!

I love these pictures of Krista and Chewwy from last summer. She sent them to me in a Snap Chat and I quick screen shot them. I used Fundamentals-Enchantment paper from CTMH for this layout. I also used Complements-School 7-12 pack but instead of using the "first day" banner for the first day of school, I used it for the first day of summer. I also used the new Basic Hearts Thin Cuts and the stamp Journaling Heart that matches it. Don't forget Kathy's party is open. http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com don't forget to join. Owl You Need Is Love

I used the Lolly Doodle paper from Close To My Heart for this layout. I also used the My Stickease to match. Then I made an 8 x 8 page for my son's book and I just took my markers and doodles lines to match the stickers for his. I also added some Wink Of Stella to the stickers to make them shimmer but you can not see that in the picture. Thanks for stopping by. Also check out whats new from Close To My Heart and join Kathy's Party. http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com

Senior Night Poster

Well I had a foot doctor appointment today and after a shot in the foot (boo) I got a day off from work. I am supposed to stay off my feet so this is a good time to craft and work on my blog. This poster was for Krista's Senior night for the swim team. I got the large patterned  poster board from Hobby Lobby. I used my Cricut to cut out the banners and swim boarder. Then I cut out the banner with my CTMH cartridge and used some letter stickers. My plan is to use the same banner for her polo night also and just make a new poster. Then we will hand them up at her graduation party. The K had fallen off before I tool the picture, but I have gone thru and glued all the letters on so that does not happen next time. thanks for stopping by and Scrap Happy!
