Studio J layout

Yay go Griffins! The Grand Rapids Griffins are in the playoffs for the Calder cup. They only have to win one more game. We are huge fans and it is very exciting. This is a scheduled post ( I know I will be very busy next week) so we should know when this is posted how the game went. The fun thing is we have tickets for the Saturday night game! It will be so exciting to be there if they win this game! I hope you are keeping up with your summer fun. Thanks for stopping by.

Studio J layout

It has been a busy week. School is out and my daughter is starting a summer polo class. I am so proud of her. She is one of the youngest kids on a high school co ed team and she is giving it her all. She said one of the high school boys she was pressing just flicked her off like a fly! The bad thing about this is it means broken sleep for me. Next week I will be doing my new job as a fill in for vacations with 12 hours part of the week. Lucky for me I still have some Studio J layouts to share that I did a while  ago when they were having that promotion. For this layout I went back to my pictures on my flash drive and took pictures of different years of Christmas. I love how you can see how my family has change. Since I have already scrapbooked these photos Studio J allowed me to back track very easily with out a trip to get photos developed. Thanks for stopping by Scrap Happy!

Studio J layout 4

How about another studio J layout. This one is with the new paper Chantilly which I have not ordered but with Studio J I can still play with it. I like the large photo in the center on this layout. Even with that photo I could still get seven pictures on this layout. Remember you can get a two page layout for only 5 dollars this month and the deal has been extended until March 15th. Studio J #3

Okay here is another Studio J layout. I got my pages in the mail today and the quality is really good. They look like a regular page but they are flat. It is cool how all the embellishments look so real. I wish I would have put a matte around the other photos on the strip on the right. Thanks for stopping by. Scrap Happy Brenda

Studio J layout #2

Another thing I love about Studio J is that you can make pages with new or old paper. This is older paper that I never got to order because it I was just getting started with Close To My Heart when this was in the book. I also liked that I can make my pictures black and white of sepia. While I was frustrated that I could not make some pictures smaller to fit it is fun to make them bigger and not pay extra for photo processing. The journaling on these pages is still neatly typed but in a different font. It will suggest one for you however you can still change it if you like. I really like this one! I love the paper and the photos. Below  is the link to a couple more tutorials from Amy. http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com

Studio-J layout

While I will always love traditional scrapbooking I decided to give Studio-J one more try since the Two Page layout is only 5 DOLLARS all this month.  I figure that for one I am saving on photo developing cost and it will help me get caught up and to do some of the pictures that normally stump me. I did try Studio-J once when they had a free deal where you could just get the computer picks.
So this is what I think. Number one I like getting the new papers right away with out having to cut up my brand new stash.  I am a bit of a hoarder and I actually do not have this paper yet. You do not have to think about where to put the pictures when you are stumped. The title was a easy breezy. I like that my journaling is neatly typed and it is also spell checked. I did this one cold turkey and I was able to figure it out pretty easy. I have since found some great tutorial's on u-tube and I will put a link to them at the bottom of this post. You can still change the paper and move stuff around to customize your layout.  The one thing I was frustrated with is that you can not make your picture smaller to fit in the spots and I was not happy with how much got cut out. I Will have to edit some pictures first next time possibly.I did not have to much trouble down loading them but I am still waiting ( this post is scheduled, today is actually Friday) so I will have to see what I think when they get here. http://brendamckerchie.ctmh.com to try Studio J today! Thanks for stopping by.
